Analysis of university groups social skills

Abstract

Many studies point that the academic success is directly related with the acquisition of the social abilities. The Training of the Social Abilities is important in the measure in that it facilitates the access to the earnings starting from the promotion of social abilities as: to speak in I publish, to work with critics, to establish loving relationship, to present the other person, to participate in conversation, to disagree of the group. The acquisition of those abilities contributes to satisfactory relationships and for the individuals' mental health. In that way, the intervention in the relationships social of academical students seems to be an alternative to minimize deficits starting from the promotion in the social abilities. However, for a necessary intervention it is recommended to characterize the people's demands that sought service through the characterization of the abilities and/or the students' difficulties that they are inserted in the academical context, in order to an in keeping with elaboration of strategies the assisted population. The central objective of that research project is it of to characterize the academical students' complaints that looked for service in the years from 2004 to 2007 in a Center of Applied Psychology of a public university of the State of São Paulo. The difficulties are related to the social development in the academical atmosphere. For the characterization of the clientele the data will be analyzed obtained previously through interviews and inventories.
