Abstract Advanced glucation end products (AGEs) formation it is markedly accelerated during diabetes, as a consequence of hyperglycemia. AGEs accumulate in the vessel wall may perturb cell structure and function. AGEs may modify the extracellular matrix, modify the action of hormones, cytokines and free radicals via engagement of cell surface receptors and impact the function of intracelluar proteins.A variety of different compounds that inhibit AGEs have been under investigation, the reduction of AGEs formation by aminoguanidine attenuates the effects of diabetes. Exercise training promotes health beneficial effects in both prevent and treatment of diabetes. Therefore, the objective of this work will be to evaluate the effects of physical training and aminoguanidine treatment in AGEs levels and vascular reactivity from diabetic rats. Additionally, circulating factors such as nitrite/nitrate (NOx-), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), gluthatione peroxidase (GPx),lipid peroxidation (TBARS) and the expression and activity of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS),superoxide dismutase (SOD)and NADPH oxidase p47phox will be analysed. | |
