Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research project of Scientific Initiation has as main objective, the computational implementation of a model of electromechanical damping device. The activities of the project are related to the Research Group "Dynamics and Control of Mechanical and Mechatronic Systems", linked to the Masters Degree Programs in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering of the FEB-UNESP-Bauru. The development of this project will contribute for the knowledge about vibration absorbers. The electromechanical damping devices, applied in the control of vibrations, became an alternative for the mechanical vibration absorbers, because allow adjustments through electrical parameters, which are easier to adjust than the mechanical parameters, and they can act in higher frequency range. In the case of the mechanical absorbers, the operation demands a larger space for the oscillations, differently, in the case of electromechanical absorbers, the operation happens in smaller spaces. Those attributes have been stimulating the investment in research and development of applications of that class of absorbers. During the execution of the project, through the study of the modeling and of the dynamics of a non-linear mechanical system coupled to an electromechanical vibration absorber, it intends to obtain computational tools for the structuring of analysis procedures and projects of systems of vibration absorbers. The student developing the activity of the project will be obtaining knowledge of the research procedures, modeling, non-linear dynamics and computational implementation of problems of Engineering.
