Abstract

The study of the properties of rheological fluids and its applications it is of utmost importance for the technological development of diverse areas of engineering, providing improvements that aim at to the security and the welfare of the population, such as in the automobile sector, the medical area, household-electric, etc.,. Thus, seeking by means of this research, study and characterizing some properties of rheological fluids used for attenuation of vibration. The numerical analysis and the experimental evaluation will be held through in a structure that represents a damper of vehicle. For in such a way, a model of 1/4 (one room) of vehicle with 2 gdl (degrees of freedom) will be used for obtain the equations, having as source of excitement of the system a harmonic wave (sine), being that it will be reproduced in the practical by a shaker electromechanical. The behavior of the suspension will be evaluated for different rheological fluid compositions, submitted the different amplitude of excitation. The experimental evaluation has for objective to prove the theory and, this, will make possible the analysis of the viability of the application of a damper system MR, in accordance with the composition of the fluid and use to which if it designed.
