Heuristic algorithm for the problem of feeder reconfiguration in radial distribution systems

Abstract

This research project, at the young research level, considers the theorical analysis and computational implementation of two heuristics algorithms for the radial distribution network feeder reconfiguration problem. The first part consists in the computational implementation of a known and efficient algorithm. The second part is a simple heuristic algorithm, that represents a new proposal to optimize the solution of the radial distribution network feeder reconfiguration problem. The implemented algorithm will be tested using known benchmark systems in the specialized literature.
