The time-dependent Gross-Pitaevskii theory is an effective theory to describe the dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensates inside traps. Recent articles mathematically proved the validity of this theory and provided an estimate for the rate of convergence of the Gross-Pitaevskii approximation to the evolution described by the Schrödinger equation. These results hold for initial states under certain conditions (with physical meaning). We propose to characterize in detail these initial states and also investigate the production of correlation by the Schrödinger evolution. (AU)
