Abstract

Two satellites Nix and Hydra, were discovered around the binary system Pluto and Charon. Information about Pluto system will help the New Horizon mission, launched early this year, that will reach Pluto in 2015. In this work we will analyse the orbital evolution of a sample of particles generated from collisions between the new satellites and Kuiper belt objects in order to verify the possibility that Pluto have a planetary ring. These particles can form a ring around Pluto, Charon or the barycentre of the system.
