Abstract

Methodologies are fundamental to achieving the results proposed in initiatives, research and teaching. The Paulista Center for Energy Transition Studies (CPTEn) aims to bring together interdisciplinary teams with the capacity to contribute to the development of high-level research and to foster debate around eight priority thematic axes, on a path that goes from the urgent needs of the present to transformative possibilities for the future. In an effort to improve world development and the quality of life of the global population, 193 countries came together in 2015 and established 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 global action targets to be met by 2030, covering environmental, economic and social issues (SDG Brazil, 2021). Thus, by assisting the insertion and development of the SDGs in the State of São Paulo, CPTEn emerges as a support center for these transformations in order to solidify and develop the basis of sustainability: social, economic and environmental spheres. Interdisciplinary action is presented as a methodological approach. The articulation between interdisciplinarity and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are proposals for structuring the Center where education must be the main foundation. Thus, this Scientific Initiation will aim to monitor interdisciplinary relations, how and which SDGs are applied within the thematic axes and how educational impacts are addressed are strategies to guarantee the expected results of the Center. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a survey throughout the initial process, until the consolidation of the methodological basis. In addition, the developed methodology may serve as a basis for the creation of other research Centers that aim to achieve similar objectives.
