Abstract

The human beings need some care to your survivor since the moment they're born, making imprescindível the relationship with caregiver, usually their mother, to promote infant development. This research describes and compares the mother-infant relationship at nine months of life considering the presence or absence of delay in infant development, and relates with the mother's and baby's behavior in interaction with infant development. Will be realized a retrospective study, using datas by the project "Prematurity: mother perception, mother emotional health, mother-infant interaction and infant development", with 20 dyads mothers-babies, divide in Group 1 - 10 dyads with baby's late development and Group 2 - 10 dyads with baby's without late development. The analysis of mother-infant interaction will be made by Interadíade protocol that classifies mother's and baby's behavior. The criterion to late development will be quantified by subscales of cognitive, motor and language development from the BSDI-II instrument. Descriptive and indifferential analysis will be made. From the results obtained, we wanted to identify mother's' behavior that can be the target of interventions promoting infant development in early childhood.
