The Concept of Unconscious in Deleuze and Guattari: a debate with psychoanalysis

Abstract

Given the main goal of our research, namely to delimite the differences between the psychoanalytical and schizoanalytical models of unconscious in order to bring out their consequences to the psychotherapeutic praxis, the research abroad in France proves to be necessary in first place because some of the most important experts of Deleuze and Guattari's work are working at french university institutions. In this sense, the research abroad in France will allow us to deepen our research by the attendance of academic activities developed by such experts (lectures, research groups, conferences, etc.), as well as by talks and interviews addressed to the enlightenment of the problems treated in our research. Secondly, the fact that Deleuze and Guattari's work and the most part of the studies onto their work are published in French, during our research abroad in France we will have an wider and richer access to the bibliographical sources we need to achieve our research, above all the possibility to consulting some documents which are accessible only in France, for example, the Félix Guattari's archive in Imec. Thirdly, the research abroad in France will allow us to go not only in the La Borde clinic, but to some psychiatric services in parisian region as well to be aware of the psychotherapeutic praxis oriented and/or inspired nowadays by the concepts created by Deleuze and Guattari and which can be tested and applied in Brazil's mental health context
