Abstract Introduction: Parathletes who fully dedicate themselves to sports and receive government support are few compared to parathletes with partial dedication, with or without assistance. Therefore, it is essential to identify whether the difference in their professional engagement interferes with osteomuscular symptoms and psychosocial aspects related to work activity. Objective: To assess the experiences, barriers, facilitators, musculoskeletal symptoms, and psychosocial aspects in athletes with disabilities. Methods: The sample will consist of athletes with disabilities. Semi-structured interviews will be conducted with the participants, addressing experiences, barriers, and facilitators. Additionally, the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire will be administered to evaluate musculoskeletal symptoms. The assessment of psychosocial factors will be conducted using the Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire (COPSOQ II-Br). The data will be analyzed descriptively and through content analysis.Expected results: We expect to recognize the experiences, barriers, facilitators, musculoskeletal symptoms, and psychosocial aspects in athlets with disabilities. The results will be disseminated in national and international scientific events and journals. | |
