Abstract

Laser Powder Bed Fusion (L-PBF), characterized by its versatility and wide application in the manufacture of metal components, is one of the manufacturing techniques with great potential for industrial application. In the context of this project, various challenges arise when a new Niobium (Nb) alloy is developed, from microstructural defects to the component's resistance to various types of stress. In order to add to the overall development of the project, this scientific initiation aims to carry out a topological analysis of the manufactured samples, by means of roughness measurements, as well as carrying out mechanical hardness, tensile and fatigue tests.
