Abstract

The presence of mental disorders in parents is an important risk factor for the incidenceof these disorders in the next generation. However, it is important to analyze whether this greaterpredisposition occurs due to an altered family environment, adverse events, geneticor their interaction. The Brazilian High Risk Cohort Study (BHRCS) is one of the largest cohortsof children and adolescents around the world and follows individuals at high risk of developingmental disorders, having been evaluated for genetic and family factors. Of thatTherefore, this project aims to analyze the correlation between adverse eventsin children and adolescents, the polygenic score of trauma and mental disorders in parents,as well as the interaction between all these variables.
