Abstract Introduction: Chronic headache is among the ten biggest causes of disability in the world and has become considered a public health problem. Pain is often associated with biopsychosocial impacts, which have repercussions on human functionality, both personally and professionally and socially, for those affected. Among the multidimensional impacts of chronic headache, symptoms such as depression, anxiety, stress and social restrictions are widely identified in the literature. Despite the known association between beliefs, attitudes, expectations and behaviors towards pain with the prognosis of the clinical condition of people with chronic pain, little is known about the beliefs and attitudes towards pain of people with chronic headache. Objectives: The objective of the study will be to identify beliefs and attitudes towards headaches and analyze their relationship with functionality and the psychological profile of people affected by chronic migraine-type or tension-type headaches. | |
