Abstract

This project proposes to integrate the use of geotechnologies and participatory mapping to understand threats and conflicts in Indigenous Lands based on the potential for the development of healthy and sustainable territories in Ubatuba and Serra do Mar State Park, both located in the State of São Paulo. The research will be carried out in a collaborative and transversal way, allied to the healthy and sustainable practices existing in the local context. It will analyze the overlapping territories (Indigenous Land and State Park) and the perception of the inhabitants of the Indigenous Land on the conflicts that threaten the socio-environmental integrity of the community. The research will be based on research that indicates the importance of the use of geotechnologies associated with the monitoring of indigenous lands. Likewise, the master's thesis will have as a conceptual reference the debate on healthy and sustainable territories. It will also review the knowledge produced on social cartography and other experiences of participatory mapping in indigenous lands. From the point of view of geotechnologies, cartographic products will be developed from satellite images and orthophotos, as well as the collection of primary data by drone. The integration of these different methodologies will contribute to the maintenance of the traditional territory, as well as to the protection of the Serra do Mar State Park.
