Psychosocial care in Primary Health Care: theories and practices of mental health care in the Unified Health System

Abstract

This is a qualitative study carried out within the scope of primary care for health with health professionals with the aim of mapping practices and discourses related to mental health care in the psychosocial care network of the city of Assis (SP). The first stage of the research will consist of mapping this network through observation of consultations, meetings, home visits, events and actions aimed at developed in primary health care in order to map the discourses and practices in mental health care carried out in this context. Health units will be included in the study that are located in regions of greater socioeconomic vulnerability. At second stage, in-depth interviews will be carried out with a semi-structured structured with psychology professionals who work in primary care County. The data will be interpreted with Content Analysis (CA) as per proposed by Laurence Bardin. With the results, it is expected to have a better understanding the challenges and potential related to mental health care in the municipality, in addition to updated information on training aspects for role of psychology in primary health care.
