Abstract

The pregnant woman's card is an important tool used in prenatal care to record and monitor pregnancy data. Although it is fundamental for the systematization of care, to enable the referral and counter-referral system, and as a tool for evaluating health services, there are still few studies that have assessed the quality of its filling. Thus, this study aims to analyze the quality of filling out the prenatal cards of pregnant women in a case-control study in the city of São Paulo, to analyze whether there is a difference in the completeness of the information on the pregnant women's card for cases and controls and to analyze the agreement between the data recorded on the cards and the information obtained from the parturients. This study will use data from the main research Fetal Mortality: challenges of knowledge and intervention, FAPESP thematic project 2016/07765-0. Prospective case-control study, carried out with 415 cases (fetal deaths) and 415 controls (born alive) in 15 hospitals in the city of São Paulo. Hospital interviews are being carried out with mothers of cases and controls, and the pregnant women's prenatal cards are being copied. For the present study, information from 400 cases and 400 controls will be analyzed. The data collected on each pregnant woman's card will be typed directly into the electronic form and will be analyzed using STATA version 16.0. To analyze the completeness of the variables, the following criteria were defined: excellent, good, fair, bad, and very bad. To measure the levels of agreement, the kappa test will be applied. To measure levels of agreement, Cohen's kappa test will be applied for nominal qualitative variables and the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) for quantitative variables.
