Abstract

This research proposal focuses on a numerical and experimental investigation on aeroelastic stability of a single propeller configuration. This MSc. project is divided into two parts: (i) formulation and implementation of an analytical model to investigate aeroelastic instabilities in a typical single propeller configuration, (ii) proposition of an experimental setup for validation of the proposed analytical model. These methodologies and tools we intend to develop within the scope of this research proposal will enable the optimum design of electrical propellers for the new generation of greener aircrafts at EMBRAER by combining environmental benefits, high efficiency, and increased access to air mobility in a holistic way, which in turn will improve the competitiveness of the company in the worldwide scenario.
