Abstract The present work has the proposal to look into the transnational interactions between Brazilian and Soviet architects, through travel and meetings, in the perspective of exchange and not of influencer and influenced, analyzing the context of the Socialist Bloc regarding the housing issue, its political, economic and bureaucratic ideology enabled the development of rapid responses to mass housing, reaching an unprecedented scale on European and American soil. In recent years, several researchers have been carrying out a historiographical review of the role that the projects developed in the USSR had on the rest of the world and also the heterogeneous internal dynamics of the bloc, contrary to what was believed at first, because despite there being a clear hierarchy in the construction and architecture, the countries that made up the union had different contexts. Also being revisited is architectural development in Brazil and the communist ideology of Brazilian architects beyond Oscar Niemeyer and Vilanova Artigas. | |
