Abstract

The aim of this plan is to study iterative strategies based on Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) to compute stabilizing static output feedback gains for uncertain linear systems, in continuous- and discrete-time. The matrices of the model, subject to time-invariant uncertain parameters, are described as a convex combination of the vertices of a polytope. The certificates of stability for the closed-loop system are built in terms of parameter-dependent Lyapunov matrices. The approaches investigated will be programmed and tested in examples from the literature and also in a base of uncertain systems that can be stabilized for sure by static output feedback, in order to evaluate the compromise between precision and computational effort for each method. Routines from Matlab, parsers and LMI solvers of public domain will be used in the development of the research.
