Abstract

Increasingly, Urban Solid Waste (USW) symbolizes problems of an economic, environmental and social nature. The direct logistics chain, responsible for distributing products and packaging, involves multiple actors, as does reverse logistics, which contributes to reuse and recycling, among other forms of appropriate waste disposal. Among these actors, the recyclable material collector plays a leading role in Brazil by contributing to closing the production cycle, even though in most regions, their work is not valued. Therefore, the objective of this research project is to develop innovative methodologies and solutions for reverse packaging logistics in Brazil, with the socio-productive inclusion of recyclable material collectors. Theoretical data collection methods will initiate the research (Integrative Literature Review and document analysis). After mapping the stakeholders and validating the collection instruments, case studies will be carried out, obtaining data through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation and questionnaire surveys. Therefore, qualitative and quantitative analyses using software will be necessary. It is intended to use content analysis, statistical methods, Value Focused Thinking and multi-criteria methods to achieve the proposed objectives. Finally, it is noteworthy that the results of this research have academic and managerial potential to contribute to the implementation of the Circular Economy in Brazil.
