Abstract

The evolution of durable materials has contributed positively to contemporary dentistry, allowing modernized treatments and a wide range of materials available to the dental sector, meeting the aesthetic and restorative needs of patients. Currently, composite resin is a dental material that is widely accepted among dental surgeons, used in direct, indirect and semi-direct restorations. Seeking to analyze the longevityof restorative techniques, the objective of this study will be to evaluate the mechanical behavior through the fatigue life test of different restorative techniques, direct and semi direct, with composite resin to promote efficient rehabilitations in the public health service. For the fatigue life test, inlay preparations (MOD) will be made in 30 extracted human molars, divided into two groups (n=15): group A - directrestorative technique with composite resin and group B - semi direct restorative technique with composite resin. An adaptation of the stepwise methodology will be used, where all specimens will be admitted to the same cycling protocol that willconsist of the application of 10 thousand cycles at 200 N, followed by cycles of 300N, 400 N, 500 N and 600 N. the cycles the load will increase by 100N and the restores will be evaluated for failure. An in silico test, with the same experimental setup will be simulated using finite element analysis in order to have data on the distribution of stresses in the crown, cement and remaining teeth, in this way wecould have support for the interpretation of the data obtained. The data collected bythe in vitro test will be subjected to the normality test and the appropriate statisticalanalysis will be carried out with a significance level of 5%, for those collected by thein silico analysis, the data will be presented in the form of colorimetric graphs and peak tables. voltage.
