Abstract

Graphene is a carbon material that is very interesting for its unique characteristics in the area of electrochemical applications. It has exceptional charge transport capabilities with low electrical resistance, as well as remarkable mechanical strength and flexibility. Liquid phase exfoliation with suitable organic solvents has been the most appropriate technique for achieving graphene dispersions and inks with high concentrations and superior stability. Nevertheless, a current challenge in this research field involves identifying solvents capable of effectively exfoliating graphitic materials while exhibiting low to no toxicity, as well as limitations in obtaining high-concentration graphene inks. This project aims to explore sustainable pathways for obtaining conductive inks from graphene dispersions using green solvents. These inks will be employed in fabricating electrodes via material deposition through screen printing. These studies search platforms with controlled properties for the development of electrochemical sensors and biosensors.
