Abstract

The present proposal intends to study the synthesis of Nevirapine co-crystals under the influence of a low frequency acoustic field. This unprecedented experimentation will involve crystallization under acoustic amplitude (dB) and different frequencies (between 30 Hz and 100 Hz). For the co-crystallization the co-formers caffeine, benzoic acid, 3-hydroxy-benzoic acid, and 4-hydroxy-benzoic acid will be used. The characterization of the co-crysts will be done by X-Ray Diffraction, calorimetry and infrared and Raman spectroscopy. The materials will be compared with those obtained from other crystallization techniques.
