Abstract

Equivalence-based instruction has been used to teach different kinds of relationships. Thisprocedure has been proven efficient to teach with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speciallychildren. The goal of this research will be verifying the efficiency of the use of thistechnology in order to teach the seven musical notes in sheet music in the G and F clefs. Theteaching process will also occur in a musical keyboard. This procedure will use colorsattached to every note to facilitate the process of association between the position of the notesboth in the keyboard and in the sheet music. There will be a gradual decrease in the filling ofthe note both in all music-related stimuli in four steps in order to establish the pairing betweenthe position of the note and the note and not the color that is associated with it. It is expectedthat the participants will be able to discriminate between musical stimuli while being incontrol of the position and the note in the sheet music and in the keyboard.
