Abstract

This project aims to establish a strategic collaboration between California and Brazil, leveraging the capabilities and resources of both regions to achieve ambitious decarbonization goals. The conservation of the Amazon Rainforest and the restoration of wetlands are fundamental pillars in mitigating climate change, with an emphasis on the inclusion of local communities and compliance with biodiversity protection regulations. Additionally, the project will investigate simulation models to guide Brazil's low-carbon transition, focusing on the Emerging Paradigm of Bioenergy and its technological frontiers, aiming to develop a low-carbon energy market.
