Abstract

One of the Emerging Contaminants (ECs) that has been focused on is methylparaben, due to its presence in water and its properties that in the long term are harmful to human and animal health when present in the organism. Therefore, efficient ways to detect and treat it must be developed. The present work seeks to analyze the methylparaben found in water samples from the development of disposable sensors modified with biochar and copper nanoparticles (BC-CuNPs). For the construction of the sensor, the synthesis of the conductive paint and the modification of the electrodes with BC-CuNPs will be done. So, in addition to being a quick way to find and analyze sources of contamination, there is a democratization of analytical chemistry, since disposable sensors are planned to be cheaper and do not require skilled labor.
