Abstract The objective of the research is to analyze tensions and disputes around the gender category in different Brazilian and international educational policies, following circulations in the transnational educational space. In particular, the research proposal presented here aims to study the Spanish and, secondarily, European context, by approaching the research group Antropología, Diversidad y Convivencia, based at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain), which presents several projects of intervention and research on this theme.
