Abstract

Situations of violence and violations of rights against indigenous peoples andTraditional communities have expanded in recent years. Alongside this, conceptionsnationalists and racists have emerged against such groupings, which consider theacculturation, ethnocentrism and ethnocide as alternatives to them, considering them asobstacles to development. This phenomenon is accompanied by posturesdenialists, anti-intellectualists and anti-scientificists, which spread through the networkssocial. To oppose this movement, it is proposed the strengthening of Scientific Culture, through scientific dissemination. In this sense, this project aims to create ascience dissemination strategy on indigenous peoples and traditional communitiesfor the wide audience. For this, it will use the chapters published in the series "Studies onNative Peoples and Traditional Communities: research and extension workuniversity" for reporting and news. The material produced will bebroadcast on RedeCT's institutional website and on its social networks, Facebook andInstagram, through the network page on the UNESP portal, through the pages of the universities thatcollaborate with the project, when possible, and by a newsletter. When performing thescientific dissemination on the subject, it is expected that the target audience will be able to contend with thefallacious speeches about native peoples and traditional communities with informationscientifically produced. Furthermore, with increased understanding of theills suffered by these groups and about the possible alternatives to overcome them, the public is expected to assimilate the importance and claim public policies andpublic and private investments aimed at this social stratum.
