Abstract

This project aims to analyze the efforts and achievements on gender equality in Science, Innovation and Technology (STI) dialogues in Africa. For that, it follows the European Union strategy, adopted by the Gender STI initiative, considering that Africa is underrepresented in the consortia. The research also intends to fill a gap existent on the matter, that is the lack of studies on the Global South (GS) and its Science and Innovation Diplomacy (S&ID). It will utilize primary data for the analysis of the National Research Foundation (NRF) and conduct interviews with prominent stakeholders in the area. In this scenario, this study contributes to expanding the cooperation between Brazil and other GS countries, specially South Africa. (AU)
