Abstract

The work involves the study of the operational parameters and adequacy of a plasma reactor to be used in the thermal conversion process of sludge generated from Sewage Treatment Stations (ETEs), in order to evaluate the physical-chemical properties of the volatile and non-volatile fractions resulting from the process. Theoretical studies will also be carried out to evaluate and demonstrate energy generation using the production gas from the process. Based on the results of the theoretical study, the appropriate proportion of CO/H2 in the gas produced through the plasma reactor to be applied in turbines and/or gas power generators will be established.
