Abstract

Soil is a complex matrix, which makes it unlikely that a single sensor measurement represents its variability. However, such spatial characterization is vital to direct several research and applications in PA. Most studies with proximal soil sensing test techniques individually or perform comparisons between equipment. However, for a holistic interpretation of field variability, measuring the potential of each sensing technique and how they complement each other is essential. Thus, in this research, a compilation of collected data in the main project experimental areas will be made, and other types of data will be collected. All datasets will be processed and analyzed through univariate and multivariate statistics, aiming to understand autocorrelations and the possibility of gaining information in soil mapping. The explanatory power of these measures in terms of plant vigor and crop productivity will also be evaluated.
