Abstract

This proposal aims to develop and implement strategies to improve the accuracy and performance of the Multiscale Robin Coupled Method (MRCM), to simulate subsurface flows in porous media modeled by Darcy fluxes and multiphase transport. We aim for applications such as petroleum reservoir flows, contaminant flows, and possibly carbon sequestration. The improvements should be developed by the postdoc researcher and implemented in our 3D parallel code developed by the research group. They will be tested in high-performance simulations using Euler/CeMEAI supercomputer at ICMC/USP.
