Abstract

Recently, ceramics with resin matrix or hybrids have gained much prominence, because it associates the advantageous characteristics of ceramics and polymers in a single material. However, as they are relatively new in the market, there are still few studies in the scientific literature, mainly in relation to the behavior of their mechanical properties in the long term. Thus, the objective of the present study will be to analyze the structure and mechanical properties of 02 monolithic ceramics interpenetrated by resin matrix (RN - Nanoceramic resin - Cerasmart and ZS - zirconia and silica ceramic in an interpenetrating resin matrix - Shofu HC) after erosive challenge and mechanical cycling, simulating 5 clinical years of prosthesis use. Thirty specimens will be manufactured per group in the form of a bar (17×4×2.0mm), divided into groups according to the type of ceramic and aging that will be submitted. The in vitro aging procedures will be: 1) erosive challenge (EC) (immersion in HCL pH=2 for 455 hours) and 2) DE + mechanical cycling (MC) (150 N x 1.2x106) at a frequency of 2Hz, at 37°C. The response variables will be: 1) structural analysis (surface roughness (Ra) and mechanical properties (flexural strength (Rf), elastic modulus (ME) and Vickers microhardness (HV). them: T1 - after 24 hours in distilled water (initial) (n=10/group), T2 - after EC (n=10/group) and T3 - after EC + MC (n=10/group). in each analysis they will be submitted to the normality test and later to the most appropriate statistical test, with a significance level of 5%.
