Abstract Introduction: It is notorious the increase in the number of elderly people in civilizations and cultures from all over the world. However, in contrast to this advance, there are factors that make it difficult the exercise of their rights and which may negatively influence their quality of life, such as such as the occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic, considering the restrictive health measures that limited and abruptly altered the exercise of the population, resulting in negative effects on the 60+ population. That said, the need for studies to identify these impacts on the adult and elderly population is evident, since this information collaborate for the development of knowledge and public policies, reducing the consequences and improving the health and quality of life of these people. Objective: Analyze what were the impacts suffered by adults and elderly people, regarding the pandemic of COVID-19, seeking to verify a relationship between impact and their perceptions of quality of life, comparing them between adults and the elderly. Method: This is a quantitative study, cross-sectional and descriptive, which will be carried out in a basic health unit in São Carlos - SP, through the application of a sociodemographic questionnaire and the WHOQOL BREF instruments and Questionnaire on the impact of the coronavirus in a private room of the UBS itself. All ethical precepts will be respected. Results: It is expected to identify which impacts suffered by the adult and elderly population during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as how to ascertain their relationship with the perception of quality of life, aiming at the manifestation of demands and, consequently, planning of new health actions. | |
