Abstract This project aims to improve the student's scientific initiation methodological procedures through her training into improved qualitative analysis methods by City University of London Centre for Maternal and Child Health Research, under the supervision of Professor Susan Ayers. The student will be trained into different types of qualitative analysis, such as Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) and Nvivo software programme, assisting directly in the European Union-funded programme COST Action Devotion international research project. In this way, the student will benefit by learning important research tools to decisively contribute with her ongoing research and also benefit the Centre for Maternal and Child Health Research with her current data from Brazil.
