User eXperience (UX) Design practices have been considered valuable by the software industry to be applied during the creation and evolution of products. The literature has provided studies on how to incorporate UX in the daily work of software teams; however, little has been explored about how software teams can use the user experience data collected to get insights into the software evolution or to create new products. Information Visualization is an area that provides methods and techniques to support the construction of visualizations. These visualizations aim to enhance the capacity for interpretation and decision-making based on data. The development of UX data visualization can assist software teams in better exploring such data and thus transform the data into information. The literature can support academics and practitioners to get a perspective of the scope in the area. This project aims to investigate the state of the art in information visualization about UX, identifying types of visualizations and their characteristics. The investigation will be conducted following the rigor of a systematic mapping of the academic literature. This project's goal is to provide a view of gaps and good practices present in the literature. The outcomes can help researchers and practitioners on creating new forms of visualizations to support the software teams in making better use of UX information in their daily work.
