Abstract

The present project proposes the synthesis of a new material based on metallic cubic silsesquioxane and its use as an electrochemical sensor in the determination of different electroactive substances.Initially, we want to study the interaction of the octa(aminopropyl)silsesquioxane nanocomposite in the chelation of Ni 2+ and its subsequent complexation with potassium hexacyanoferrate (III) thus generating electroactive bimetallic complexes. After spectroscopic characterizations, the prepared material will be subjected to a rigorous study of cyclic voltammetry using the graphite paste electrode as the working electrode. Finally, after the optimization of the main electrochemical parameters, an electroanalytical system will be assembled, in which the modified cubic silsesquioxanes on the surface of the graphite paste electrode will be tested in the detections and electrocatalytic determinations of some substances of environmental, biological, and pharmaceutical interest such as such as: L-ascorbic acid, sulfhydryl compounds, cysteine, N-acetylcysteine, glutathione, dopamine, hydrazine, dipyrone, sodium sulfite, sodium nitrite, sodium thiosulfate and others.
