Abstract

Pain in children and adolescents is a common condition. Musculoskeletal pain is one of the most important causes of years lived with disability worldwide. However, there is a gap in the literature about the incidence of musculoskeletal pain in children and adolescents. Moreover, it remains unclear what are the factors associated with the development of musculoskeletal pain in children and adolescents. The impacts caused by musculoskeletal pain on children's and adolescents' lives are significant. Physical activity has many benefits for children and adolescents, but it is necessary to know how to implement these interventions at the population level. Objectives: (1) To develop an analysis plan for a cohort study aiming to investigate the incidence of musculoskeletal pain and develop a prediction model for musculoskeletal pain in children and adolescents; (2) to develop an analysis plan for a scoping review aiming to investigate implementation outcomes in implementation studies on physical activity for children and adolescents. Methods: For the first objective, we will conduct an analysis plan for a prospective cohort, and to develop a theoretical model to be able to develop a prediction model to investigate the possible association between the incidence of disabling musculoskeletal pain and the variables collected at baseline. We plan to analyze the data using the software R 5.0 (R Foundation for Statistical Computing). For the second objective, we plan to organize and analyze the implementation data. (AU)
