Analysis of the impact of restrictive measures, during the COVID-19 pandemic, in a university colonoscopy center

Abstract

The restrictive measures for the movement of people during the COVID-19 pandemic made it difficult for the Brazilian population to access public health services in other areas not directly related to the new coronavirus, such as access to colonoscopy exams. Thus, this study aims to evaluate the impact of restrictive measures, adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic, in the colonoscopy center of the Hospital das Clínicas, Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (HCFMRP-USP), through a comparison between the profile of the patients and the endoscopic findings in the pre-pandemic period and the period after the beginning of the pandemic.(AU)
