Abstract

Chaotic-regime recurrence maps can be both a source of entropy (a pseudo-random number generator) and a training ground for pattern recognition. Both concepts are closely correlated. Motivated by this intimate relationship, the research project deals both with the study of pseudo-random number generation by recurrence maps in a chaotic regime and with the recognition of patterns and the predictability of these generated numbers. For this, two main methods will be used to generate pseudo-random numbers from chaos: the deep-zoom method and map composition. And, for pattern recognition, we will approach complex networks, network-automaton and recurrent neural networks.
