Intersectoriality in the prevention of childhood obesity: evaluation of knowledge, collective-efficacy and self-efficacy in professionals in Campinas

Abstract

Obesity is a chronic condition of multifactorial origin that has increased incidence worldwide, including in children. Studies have shown the relevance of an early approach to interventions so that they can act preventively to the development of obesity, in addition, the combination of knowledge of professionals from different areas is able to obtain better results in the process of food and nutrition education. Considering, therefore, the relevance of the work interdisciplinary, this project will seek to assess the collective effectiveness and self-efficacy of health and education professionals, as well as knowledge about the new paradigms on healthy eating presented in the Brazilian Food Guide. Therefore, previously validated, and self-administered questionnaires will be sent to professionals in the city of Campinas who work in Primary Health Care and in the kindergarten. The professionals chosen to be evaluated will be those who will participate in an interdisciplinary nutritional intervention (training) that makes up the project matrix of this research. In this way, the data collected, and those generated in this research will serve as a diagnostic basis for the start of the intervention of the matrix project.(AU)
