Abstract

This project deals with the development of metadata models for the interoperability of databases in the agricultural field, having as a sample subdomain the data of agricultural commodities. To achieve the research objective, the research methods will be guided by the principles of ISO/IEC 11179 for creating metadata repositories and other literature models for creating a crosswalk between different agricultural database metadata schemes. In the last stage of the research, the proposed metadata model will be challenged in another field of agricultural data -hunger and nutrition-through the incremental model. Finally, it is expected to create a useful metadata model for the integration of agricultural data that meets the purposes of the Center for Artificial Intelligence (C4AI), AgriBio challenge, and that meets the FAIR principles and the goals of the Open Government Program, coordinated by the Controladoria-Geral da União (CGU).
