Abstract

This project seeks to understand urban experimentation from the experience of women in their paths through the urban space. For this, the contradictions and conflicts in the production of space, related to gender and the city, will be considered, taking into account the structural logic of hegemonic masculinities. We will seek to understand this condition, in order to obtain an overview of the expectations and experiences of women and observe how they live in the city from the fragments that signify their experiences. The methodological procedures are based on urban routes, through which different women will be accompanied in their daily lives, with a field diary to record their singularities and pluralities. Thus, the research aims to understand urban experimentation from the experiences of women in an articulated fragment of the city of Presidente Prudente / SP, east zone, historically stigmatized in at least three dimensions - poverty, marginalization, and violence. In recent years, with the emergence of new areas such as housing estates in the northern zone, this part of the city has been rediscovered by the real estate logic and, therefore, it awakens us to give voice to these women, recording the way they live the city from their experiences in this fragment of urban coexistences. In this rediscovery, new forms of appropriation can lead to new confrontations in the lives of these women and this is the path we intend to follow. (AU)
