This is a research internship at the Laboratoire de Recherche Historique Rhône-Alpes, as part of an ongoing investigation into the experiences and results of the exchange of Brazilian researchers in the history of education, between 1989 and 1991, in France. In those years, an agreement between the Inter-American Development Bank and the University of São Paulo allowed professors from the School of Education to carry out studies and research in Europe and North America. Associated with the "Program for Research in Brazilian School Culture", four teachers sought, for their research projects in the history of education and social history, improvement, dialogue, documentary research and works in centers such as the Institut National de Recherche Pédagogique (INRP). I will be hosted by Prof. Dr. Boris Noguès, and intend to consult the INRP archives, examine the collection of the Histoire de l'Education magazine and the theses defended in France at the time; interview participating French researchers. The hypothesis is that the exchanges activated a circulation that would become intense between researchers from the two national communities, having produced, in both, impacts on the production of knowledge and the structure of this intellectual field. Our analytical reference is the transnational history of education and knowledge, concerning investigating exchanges and interdependencies in international contexts, the exploration of appropriations, and the production and dissemination of knowledge and relations between national communities.
