Impact of the association of systemic bisphosphonate and local genistein on biomineralization during the peri-implant repair process in estrogen-deficient female rats with metabolic syndrome.

The peri-implant alveolar repair will be analyzed in female rats with metabolic syndrome and estrogen deficiency systemically treated with risedronate sodium combined with local treatment with implants functionalized with genistein. Forty-eight female rats (Wistar) will be divided into 4 groups: Sham and Sham-SM (animals infected by sham surgery and sham surgery and metabolic syndrome), Ovx-SM and Ovx-SM-Ris (rats undergoing surgery to remove the gonads and metabolic syndrome and gonad removal surgery and metabolic syndrome and treatment with risedronate sodium). The implants that will receive will be subdivided: IC (animals that will receive conventional implants) and GEN (those with implants functionalized with genistein). Risedronate (Ris group) or vehicle (other groups) will be administered 30 days after OVX / Sham surgeries and will be maintained until the end of the experiment. After 60 days from the beginning of the administration of risedronate, they will be performed as exodontics of the maxillary first molars bilaterally where, immediately, the implants will be installed, with 2 implants per rat. After 14, calcein will be applied and 24 days after surgery, alizarin red will be applied. A euthanasia will occur 28 days after surgery, due to an anesthetic overdose. An analysis by fluorochromes will be done by the superposition of alizarin and calcein, which represent an overlap of calcium. Microtomography will evaluate parameters of bone density and trabeculate: IS, Bv.Tv, Tb.N, Tb.S. Data will be included in the homoscedasticity test to select the appropriate statistical test (parametric or not), with a significance level of 5%.(AU)
