Abstract

Due to the history of forest suppression by agricultural activities, currently, highlighting the cultivation of sugar cane, the municipality of Presidente Prudente, located in the West São Paulo, was previously covered by formations of the "Seasonal Semideciduous Forest" of the biome Atlantic Forest, today has only 13.3% of its surface covered by native vegetation (SÃO PAULO, 2020), which is dispersed in a few small fragments. So, the present research project aims to evaluate the application of restoration techniques such as nucleation and green fertilization, based on the definition of Edaphoclimatic Microunits , in a Permanent Preservation Area in Presidente Prudente-SP, in order to promote "ecological triggers" that favor and accelerate successional processes and interactions between species. For this, a bibliographic review on the subject will be carried out and the study area, as well as fieldwork, to collect information and implement and monitor restoration techniques. Among them, some nucleating techniques will be adopted: soil transposition, canopy raking, artificial perches, and planting of seedlings in groups of Anderson, together with green manure, using associations of species of legumes in order to restore soil fertility. Guiding restoration techniques, the spatialization of Edaphoclimatic Microunits will be adopted, in which they are delimited and Area units are classified by similar edaphic and microclimatic characteristics. The character of analysis, and indicators will be verified during the implementation of the Project's potential for ecological successions, such as the development of seedlings inserted in nuclei from Anderson, the sighting of fauna in the study area, and evidence of natural regeneration.(AU)
