This Research Internships Abroad is based on the mediatic thoughts about the so-called post-"Arab Spring" period, especially on the political transition, which started in 2011. It is focused on the role taken by Political Islam, especially on the work of the Tunisian Movement Ennahda, in the local and international intersubjective knowledge of Tunisian politics. The misrepresentation processes and ignorance-based relations found in western media created a gap in the narrative about these groups and parties, letting Al Jazeera English depicts the facts as a counterflow media network. The aim of this study is to deepen the understanding of the present research, debating ways through which Political Islam, specifically, Movement Ennahda party, can change and evolve inside the discourses. In order to realize this goal, it will be used the French Discourse Analysis and International Relations Constructivist theory, over the role of Ennahda during three periods: the elections held in 2011 and 2014, also the 2016 identity struggles faced by the party. The study will be conducted at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), the University of London, under the supervision of Professor Karabekir Akkoyunlu, inside the Department of Politics and International Studies. Therefore, the Research Internships Abroad is planned to happen in four months, following a literature study, then the selection and the analysis of the news. (AU)
