Abstract

Will be studied the pollen morphology of 15 native species of Rosales, belonging to the families of Cannabaceae, Moraceae, Rhamnaceae, Rosaceae, and Ulmaceae from forest fragments in Northwestern São Paulo State. The present study aims to characterize the pollen grains morphology of native Rosales species, providing data that could contribute to the palynology, taxonomy, and systematics of these families, as well as to expand the knowledge of morphological data that could help in the conservation of forest areas. For the analysis, materials from collections in forest fragments will be used. The pollen grains will be autolyzed, measured, described, and photomicrographed under light and/or scanning electron microscopy, if necessary. Quantitative data will be analyzed by statistics according to sample size, and the qualitative data will be organized for the description of pollen types.(AU)
