The research intends to survey the archives, collections and narratives related to the ethnographic production of Harald Schultz and Vilma Chiara that are deposited in Germany. In research already carried out at MAE - USP's Archeology and Ethnology Museum, I identified about 60 ethnographic films produced by the ethnological couple for the project of the Cinematographic Encyclopedia (EC) of the Göttingen Scientific Film Institute (IWF) in Germany. In a recent search for these original films in the archives digitized in German institutions, upon the validity of the master's research "Scientific and ethnographic images in Brazil: Harald Schultz, Vilma Chiara and Indigenous Peoples", some unpublished titles from this collection of ethnographic films were found. Following this recent discovery, this new research project abroad is configured as an important scientific, historical and ethnographic bridge to be carried out between the fields of museology, indigenous ethnology, visual anthropology among Brazil and Germany.
